People see wicked people with great success on Earth, and wonder why God allows it.

A common question wondered about by non-believers and believers alike is why, if God exists, He allows so many wicked people to be (apparently) so successful in life on Earth. A couple of reasons come to mind right away.

The first reason is that God doesn’t value what humans do, so success from a human perspective may in fact be failure from God’s. (Luke 16:15)

The second reason is that, on Earth, the devil is being allowed to rule for now. (Matthew 4:8-9)

Since God values what’s in a person’s heart (1 Samuel 16:7), worldly success may be irrelevant from God’s point of view.
